The Greater Everett Community Foundation is a non-profit organization (tax ID#94-3188703) serving thousands of people who share a common concern: improving the quality of life in Snohomish County.

Many donors are looking for the best way to invest in their communities. At the same time, they want to protect their assets. The Greater Everett Community Foundation can help donors accomplish both of these goals. We are a one-stop center for any donor's personal philanthropy.

The charitable funds we administer are created by individuals, families, businesses and organizations. Grants are awarded each year from investment income to many humanitarian, educational and cultural organizations.

We help people strengthen community and thoughtfully change lives.
• We are attentive to donors' particular interests, and honor their individual or family legacies. We provide a simple, flexible way to fulfill multiple charitable interests, with low-cost administration.
• Our donors' endowment funds are invested to grow and benefit our community forever. We are a local organization able to respond to a broad range of changing community needs. We bring history forward through our donors' tradition of caring.
• Taking the time to be thoughtful in a fast world is important to us. We preserve donor intent over time, always safeguarding donors' wishes. We tell our donors how and why their gifts made a difference.

We are building our organization on a solid history of success. Our organization was established in 1993 as the Everett Parks Foundation for the purpose of helping donors enhance Everett's parks. Since then, we have broadened our capacity and ability to help donors wishing to leave lasting legacies for other community assets. In 2001, we changed our name to the Greater Everett Community Foundation to reflect these expanded services to donors. In 2002, we merged with the Snohomish County Community Foundation to create one, unified community foundation serving donors throughout Snohomish County. All the while, our mission to strengthen communities by helping caring people express their values through philanthropy has remained unchanged.

There's a common thread that runs through the more than 100 funds at the Greater Everett Community Foundation: the goal of improving life in Snohomish County through informed charitable giving. Though our funds are as diverse as the county itself, they spring from the shared concern and generosity of hundreds of donors who feel strongly about their community and residents.
