For almost 14 years, we have been working with donors to help them meet their philanthropic goals. Donors who partner with us benefit from the following services:

Prompt Acknowledgement of Gifts. All gifts to the Foundation or to any of its Funds, regardless of gift size, are acknowledged in writing generally within 3 working days.

Timely Grant Processing. Fundholders who make grant recommendations from their funds are assured that their requests will be acted upon promptly. Most grant recommendations are processed, approved by the Board and mailed within two weeks of being received.

Fund Statements. GECF Fundholders receive quarterly statements detailing their fund activity.

Local Expertise & National Resources. GECF staff members know the local issues and the local nonprofit community. Donors can rely on Foundation staff to provide them with current and relevant information when needed. As one of over 500 community foundations in the United States, we network with community foundation staff throughout the region and the country to offer our donors solutions if making grants outside our area.

Grant Information. We manage several competitive grant programs each year through our various funds.  To keep our fundholders informed and involved, we make available information about the grant applicants that did and did not receive funding.

Opportunities for Donor Involvement. From time to time, local issues and concerns arise that demand the attention of our community. The community foundation, as a leader and convener extends invitations to our donors during these times to become part of the dialogue and solution.

Newsletters. A few times each year, we issue our Connections Newsletter. As the name implies, Connections allows GECF Staff to share general Foundation news and information with our fundholders, donors and friends.

Confidentiality Policy. Members of the Board of Directors, Advisory Committees and Staff of the Greater Everett Community Foundation shall not share any privileged information viewed, discussed, heard or transcribed in the course of normal Foundation operations to anyone outside of the Foundation.
