Nonprofit organizations are invited to submit one application for each foundation grant cycle. Applications are shared with all or some of the grant committees that fit the request.
Spring Grant Cycle — Application deadline Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 4 p.m.
Spring Grant Guidelines
o Human Services: Basic needs (food, clothing, shelter & safety).
or
o Human Services: Programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities.
o Education K-12: Each School District in Snohomish County is allowed to submit one application or assign a designee in its place, such as their local school foundation. Grant awards range from $1000 - $10,000. Priority will be given to programs or services that support parents and/or youth in stopping the cycle of poverty through success in school. Programs must enhance, but not replace public funding.
Fall Grant Cycle — Application deadline Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 4 p.m.
Fall Grant Guidelines
o Human Services: Basic needs (food, clothing, shelter & safety)
or
o Human Services: Prevention programs and services for pre-teens/teens. Community based programs for youth, mentoring or after-school programs that assist at-risk youth.
Grant Information
o Eligible organizations: 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations (or fiscally sponsored by one) with programs and/or services in Snohomish County.
o Nonprofit organizations are limited to one application per organization for spring & one application per organization for fall.
o Grant awards typically range from $500 - $5,000. Please make your request within this range.
o Cover letters are not necessary and are discouraged.
o Grant applicants can expect to be notified of decisions within 60 days of the deadline.
o Application deadlines mean that we must have the application in our office by that date/time. Postmarks will not be used to verify date.
o Please avoid using certified and/or express mail.
