Grant Opportunities for 2010
The Greater Everett Community Foundation will be making grants to support education, environment and health & wellness - three of our areas of focus that we refer to as our foundation "pillars."
Guidelines: Grants are made to nonprofit organizations that serve Snohomish County. Typical grant amounts range from $500-$2,500.
Deadline: The 2010 application deadline is February 1, 2010.

The Arts & Culture Fund was established in partnership with ArtsUnited "to promote the artistic and cultural development of Snohomish County, helping to ensure the growth of local arts experiences by providing funding and support for diverse, high quality programs."
Guidelines: Grants are made to organizations and artists that serve Snohomish County. These grants are largely unrestricted in use and may be designated as sustaining, or as an opportunity grant. Typical grant amounts range from $1,000-$5,000.
Deadline: The 2010 application deadline is April 19, 2010.

The Anne & Mary Arts and Environmental Education Fund was established in 2001 by a local family in honor of their mothers. The fund makes grants supporting arts and environmental education programs.
Guidelines: Grants are made to nonprofit organizations that serve Snohomish County. Typical grant amounts range from $500-$2,500.
Deadline: The 2010 application deadline is April 30, 2010.

The Coastal Community Bank Employee Giving Fund has been making grants to nonprofit organizations for the past eight years. The fund typically supports health and human services programs or those serving youth and senior citizens.
Guidelines: Grants are made in the communities that Coastal Community Bank serves: Everett, Monroe, Sultan, Gold Bar, South Whidbey, Stanwood, Camano Island and Darrington. Typical grant amounts range from $500-$1,500.
Deadlines: The 2010 application deadlines are March 31 and September 30, 2010.

The First Heritage Bank Employee Giving Fund began making grants in 2008.
Guidelines: The Fund supports local charitable organizations operating in communities where First Heritage Bank has operations. Grants typically range from $250-$1,000.
Deadline: The 2010 application deadline is October 31, 2010.

The Human Services Endowment Fund in Honor of Bob Drewel is a permanently endowed fund established in 2003 to provide grants to assist human services agencies serving Snohomish County communities.
Guidelines: This fund provides grants to human services agencies throughout Snohomish County, for human services programs. The target populations are seniors, youth and the disabled. Funding is for basic needs, identified here as: food, clothing, shelter, safety and health/wellness. Programs applying for funding must serve the target population and be focused on at least one of the basic needs categories. Funding will not be provided for endowment campaigns or major capital campaigns. Grant amounts range from $500-$2,500.
Deadline: The 2010 application deadline is May 31, 2010.

The Jeannie & David Brenner Fund was established in late 2007 for the purpose of providing housing, services or benefits to developmentally disabled adults within Snohomish County.
Guidelines: This fund assists human services agencies providing services for developmentally disabled adults throughout Snohomish County. Grant amounts will be up to $10,000. There will be a minimum requirement of 10% matching funds. Grants may be renewed for additional years based on progress reports and a required increase in matching funds.
Capacity Building Grants: Targeted to non-profit agencies that focus on working with developmentally disabled adults in Snohomish County. The goal is to award grants to agencies that can increase their capacity to be more self-sufficient -including fund development, database management and volunteer recruitment.
Programs and Services: Ongoing programs and services should focus on stimulation and activities - not just respite.
Deadline: The 2010 application deadline is April 30, 2010.

The Mountain Pacific Bank Employee Giving Fund awarded its first grants in 2007.
Guidelines: The Fund supports local charitable organizations operating in communities where Mountain Pacific Bank has operations. Grants will range from $250-$1,000.
Deadline: The 2010 application deadline is October 31, 2010.

Grant application deadlines mean that we must have the application in our office by that date. We will no longer accept applications "postmarked, but not received" by the deadline. Applications can be mailed to: GECF, PO Box 5549, Everett, WA 98206 or may be dropped off at our physical location: 3202 Colby Avenue, Suite A (there is a mail slot in our front door).
