In 2009, the Greater Everett Community Foundation (GECF) continued to advance as a permanent community asset for agencies and community groups throughout Snohomish County. We awarded the third round of grants from our Community Grant Fund, completed nine competitive grant cycles and processed hundreds of grants at the recommendation of our donor advisors. Between September 1, 2008 and July 31, 2009, the Foundation processed more than 170 grants totaling more than $450,000.  The vast majority of the grants stayed here in our community supporting the good work of our local nonprofit organizations.

You’ll notice when you review the Available Grants that we’re offering eight competitive grant opportunities.  We’ve simplified the grant application form -  some funds have applications unique to their grants.   Periodically we make minor changes to our application form, so we suggest checking for the new form rather than using a download from a past grant cycle.  Grant deadlines have changed to mean "received in our office" rather than post-marked.  We have a mail slot on our front door for those of you submitting at the last moment!

Our evaluation reporting requirement continues for all our grantees and we are tracking outcomes to measure the impact of our grantmaking in the community.

We plan to schedule more annual site visits so we can see your programs in action, and we are always looking for photos that “tell the story” of the work that you do with grants received through GECF.  These photos may be used in our marketing materials so you will need to have a signed release authorization from people in photos before sending them to us.  We prefer digital photo files sent electronically.
